The 2022 Simplex Contest was held on February 27th. We had great weather this year with a high temp of 40 degrees and partly cloudy skies.  There was good activity on the bands with several new callsigns heard. Facebook promotion did get a few more people on the air. While we had nice activity on the air we only had 12 log submissions from 2 different local clubs. We again had several ties for band awards this year. The Rover team of K9FI and K9WOC did a great job activating grids and keeping the activity level high on all the bands. The activity on digital was good this year with a slight increase in contacts. Fusion was by far the most popular with Dstar only accounting for one contact.

Thanks for the post. Made me actually turn on a radio and throw my call out there for the first time in a very long time.”

I want to thank all who participated this year. Look forward to working you again in 2023.
